Reach Out and Touch

. . . somebody's hand. Make this world a better place, if you can. My husband takes those words to heart. Whether it's his community or a member of his family, he's there to lend a hand and sometimes his wallet too. :-)
Courtney Williams, I appreciate your philanthropic efforts.

Girl, You Know I I I I Love You

He tries so hard to please those he loves. It is often a thankless and difficult task. He pours out so much of himself in his job, that when he gets home all he wants is love. With the constant emotional upheaval of the last two and a half weeks, I'm amazed that he's still standing. Courtney Williams, I appreciate your ability to push through even when it looks like you won't get what you want or need.

I Like the Way You Move

I'll be the first to admit that the best dance my husband can do is rock to the beat to the music. We slow dance and I don't think I've actually seen him do the Cupid Shuffle or The Cha-cha Slide. That's usually me and the kids. But the hubs can bust a move all his own. Check him out during a drum circle at a local park. Courtney Williams, I appreciate your ability to have fun.

A Walk in the Park

Oh my goodness. He surprised me today. After we left the post office, my hubby took me to the park. I hadn't been to this side of the park before. The Farmer's Market was there and he knows how much I enjoy the Farmer's Market. Fresh mangoes. OMG! Such sweet perfection. I had no idea. The highlight for me was the lychee nut. I'd never had one before and I can't wait to eat more. I appreciate the walk in the park.

It's in His Kiss

I've got these old love songs rifling through my mind. Yes, I should be working on homework and edits, but I just need to take a few minutes and celebrate the man that is Courtney Williams. He is a huge romantic. The kind of man who never forgets my birthday. Even if he only gets me a card, he never forgets. Even when he was away, he still managed to romance me, through texts, letters and phone calls. So I appreciate the romance you bring to my life.

How Do I Appreciate...Let Me Count the Ways

This is my blog and I can do what I want to do with it. For the next...oh 30 days, I intend to show my husband how much he is appreciated in my life. A relationship with me hasn't always been easy. Very early on he knew I had the potential to go blind. I have Retinitis Pigmentosis. What we didn't discover until after 20 years of marriage was that I have clinical depression. So no, life with me has been easy. Did we have some great times? Absolutely, but there were some very painful times in between.
Just as I need to be celebrated everyday of my life. My husband needs to be celebrated everyday too. So Courtney Williams, I appreciate you for sticking by me through the hard times in our life together. I'd rather have bad times with you then good times with someone else...
